VISA REQUIREMENTS

A visa shall be granted to persons wishing to enter the Sultanate for the purpose of tourism. The visa shall allow them to reside in the Sultanate for a period not exceeding one month, which may be extended for a similar period, as it can be obtained from the competent authority or under the sponsorship of tourism companies licensed to practice tourism activity.

Procedures for the list of countries No. (1):

• From all the authorities representing the Sultanate abroad.
• From all legal ports.
• From the Directorate General of Passport & Residence or from the Passports and Residence General Directorates or sections in the geographical areas.
• A local sponsor is required and under his responsibility (one of the local tourism companies or a hotel in the Sultanate that has a tourist license) and it is issued by the Directorate General of Passport & Residence or one of its branches in Headquarters (HQ) and General Directorates in the various governorates of the Sultanate.
